The Brightstar Group launched Young Brightstars in 2018 to support the development of young people in work and sport. Over the last two years, we have provided bursaries to invest in the development of outstanding young sports stars and encouraged young people to engage with the world of financial services through our Young Learners Programme. As a result of this programme, some successful work placements have led to subsequent offers of employment at the Brightstar Group.
To date, Sirius has enjoyed much success with our youth policy and commitment to ‘growing our own’. Dubbed the ‘Greenhouse Effect’, we have developed an academy approach to encouraging young people into the world of financial services and developing them to realise their potential. We take on recent graduates in Case Manager roles and mentor them to progress into Advisor positions through training and ongoing support with obtaining the CeMAP qualification.
